We're seeking an inclusive and committed Warehouser Lead 1 to join Frito-Lay, where you will be responsible for various warehouse and production duties in a leadership capacity at the Frito Lay Maui DC in Kahului, Maui.
We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule. As a Full-Time Lead 1 team member, you would work between 40 and 50 hours per week and be eligible to receive full company benefits including health insurance, dental and vision, retirement savings benefits including 401(k) with company contribution, plus much more.
It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift. Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the workday:
Job description:
Ensure a safe work environment and uphold all Safety No-Debates and National / Regional / Local initiatives
Effectively own / lead processes associated with forecasting / ordering product for the site and partner with the local SDL to ensure optimal product flowing into / out of the facility
Assist in manual loading and unloading of in-bound & out-bound containers, as needed
Ensure proper receipt of product inventory into the SAP program or the like.
- Ensure proper rotation of product within the warehouse
- Conduct physical inventory each week
Accurately verify RSR loads during check-out, verify count / items, and accuracy for ship-outs
Accurately execute product transfer to routes utilizing the handheld computer
Lead / facilitate the weekly VIP / VIE meeting and/or conference calls and similar
Responsible for maintaining warehouse dock operations (i.e. inbounds / outbounds priority, etc.)
Support product allocations efforts / communication for new items, aging items, and district initiatives
Be a positive leader throughout and support SCO (Supply Chain Optimization) imperatives
Develop, maintain, and review site performance metrics and teach / grow talent from within the team
- Adapt / Adopt / Implement operational best practices
Own Food Safety at this facility (ex. cleaning processes/procedures, audits, communication, culture)
- Responsible for driving regulatory excellence
Preferred experience / qualifications:
A self-starter with strong leadership skills, possess a positive attitude and be able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize / reprioritize effectively
Able to work without constant supervision both independently and in a team-based environment
Possess very good communication and organizational skills with proven ability to effectively prioritize
Able to take ownership in success as well as failure and be able to take constructive feedback well.
Able to accurately complete paperwork in a timely manner. Effective document filing ability and attention to detail is a must
Proficient with computer applications or a quick learner (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Zoom, etc.)
Must be capable of successfully obtaining a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Trainer certification.
Must be able to learn in-house technology / systems, including but not limited to a Sales Hand-Held Computer (HHC)
Must be flexible in personal schedule to accommodate business needs and have the availability to work additional hours / days as needed
Willing and able to travel off-island for training / support, as needed
