Intrado is looking to hire an Accountant to join our team.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions, reporting, and analysis for Intrado. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing insights to support decision-making, and complying with relevant regulations and accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Transaction taxes, Sales & Use Taxes, GST/HST/PST, Ireland VAT, Personal Property Taxes, Business Licenses, Annual Reports, RFP requests, Income Tax liaison, monitor CRA and RevQ, Regulatory liaison, other accounting duties as assigned
- Assist the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, recording journal entries, and preparing accruals to accurately reflect the financial position of the company
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and analyzing account balances, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls, preparing and filing necessary reports accurately and on time
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support to auditors as needed
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to gather information, resolve issues, and support business initiatives
- Maintain adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures, recommending updates or revisions as necessary to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience:
- 3+ years of proven experience in corporate tax compliance and accounting, preferably in a corporate accounting department or public accounting firm
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Avalara) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with internal and external stakeholders

The hiring range for this position is anticipated between $70,000 and $75,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
