Delta Faucet Company in Morgantown, KY is seeking a high-energy, self-driven engineering technician. This position will perform high level machine and systems design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Duties and Responsibilities: Key accountabilities of the position include design, troubleshooting, calibration and support of electrical power, controls, and measurement of automation systems. Evaluate & improve manufacturing processes by designing and conducting data analysis; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- products and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Hands on experience! Opportunities to design and build automation systems as well as work closely with leading equipment manufacturers. Participate in Kaizen events to improve efficiency of the manufacturing processes. Develop reports for data analysis and implements data collection software(s). Provide engineering technical support and hands on training/mentoring. Willingness to pursue learning opportunities to maintain technical and practical expertise. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Design, develop, and test new work cells including stand alone and automated workstations. Develop new and/or replacement equipment business cases based on the current business needs. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in electrical engineering or similar degree program or associate degree in related field required along with 5+ relevant experience. Experience: Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred experience with automation and controls. Computer Skills: Competent in Window-based software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, etc. Strong skills in document organization. Proficient in the utilization of software for troubleshooting purposes (Allen Bradley PLC, PanelView software, Fanuc, Keyence, etc.). Capable of using AutoCAD for print development. Communication Skills: Candidates should be ambitious self-starters with a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and possess an attention to detail and dedication to a team environment. High level of verbal communication skills; must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as vendors. Special Skills: High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills. High degree of flexibility and ability to work with multiple and changing priorities. Strong decision making, organizational and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles. Experience in mechanical design and developing manufacturing concepts from product designs. Experience using Enterprise Software, Data Collection Systems, AUTOCAD, and Creo 5.0 or equivalent 3D CAD system. Experience in SLA/FDM 3-D printing concept designs. Understanding of PLC, Robotic, and Machine Vision Programming. Proficiency at reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings. Must be able to adhere to all safety practices and lead safety practices. Time and Travel: This position will be primarily first shift with flexibility to work other shifts as required. Occasional travel with possible overnight stays.
